‘Typology of appearances’ is a study of everyday objects. It allows to consider our surroundings within an abstract aesthetic. Pulled out of context, enlarged and exposed for everyone to see, the items themselves become vulnerable, open to every spectator’s gaze. The concept reflects on the performative presence of gender in the society and the objectification of appearance.
